Basic strategy master
On this page you will find links to basic strategy charts for any of the following combination of rules: single, double, four, six and eight deck; soft
and hard 17; double on any two cards; double on 9, 10 and 11 only; double on 10 and 11 only; double after split, late surrender and "peek" (no hole card).
Choose the number of decks and soft or hard 17 from the links below then select your exact rule combination on the following page. The percentage figures to the
right of the entries represent the house edge of the particular rules combination, and assume the ability to split to no more than three hands and the
use of a cut card. If you can split to four or more hands the house edge reduces by 0.01%, and a game which is reshuffled after every hand reduces the house
edge by a further 0.02% in multi-deck games (see
the cut card effect on the blackjack page). The effect is
greater still in double and single deck, reducing the house edge by a further 0.06% and 0.11% respectively.
Note also that if you can resplit aces, the house edge decreases by a further 0.08%.
Explanations of the various acronyms (S17, DAS etc) can be found in the blackjack page
rules section.
